I started at _____ on August 1 of 2011. Since that time I would say one of the greatest achievements I have reached is establishing strong trusting peer relationships. Taking the credo to heart and enriching lives, mine, my peers, who I share most of the time with, and finally our customers. Since I first started working at _____ I must have to say that my technology knowledge has exponentially grown at an incredible pace. Beyond the knowledge is the ability to communicate it to customers who at times are newcomers to _____ products. Finally and this has been a recent achievement I have been able to keep my timely assistance. I have always had trouble getting on time to places I blame it in part to my cultural heritage, but sometimes it was simply just overlooking the issue as irrelevant so long as I was within my 10 minutes. However all of that changed after sharing an experience with a friend at a trapeze lesson. I was made aware of the importance of timing. After that I have made a great effort to be on time or early. These three have also been my strongest developmental areas of growth this year.
The greatest disillusionment that I have had so far is the fact that I didnt get to carry through with the Spanish workshops for consumers. After constantly asking leaders to go through with them; getting the Spanish speaking staff on board; and even taking the initiative to make a presentation to make the case of how it is part of our credo part to enrich the lives of our costumes with our products and services I was simply just not listened too. However, what upsets me the most about this is the fact that at _____ one of our goals is to create a sense of community in this way this is a big failure of the company as a whole to exclude a growing segment of the population. A company that values its people as its most important asset and it's diversity is certainly not carrying thru with its message.
As far as the near future goes I am at a very exciting point of my life where new challenges are coming up and the skills and knowledge that I have gained at _____ will come in very handy. I plan to further grow my technical knowledge and troubleshooting of products. However, and I think this is the most important of all of the things I have to further develop standing alone. Making sure that I am following my thoughts, intutions and believes even if that means been wrong sometimes or being an outcast. After all it is "the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do..."
Después de un año en uno de mis trabajos llego el momento de las evaluaciones. Además de obtener un aumento salarial que por lo que escucho es muy pequeño... Se nos da la oportunidad de escribir una auto evaluación la cual pensé en un principio iba a ser difícil de hacer. Sin embargo, fue todo lo contrario y como muchas de las cosas cuando no piensas en ellas, las letras se convierten en palabras, los espacios entre las palabras les dan significado convirtiendolas en oraciones y en una auto evaluación completa. Me tomo la libertad de compartirla con ustedes....
Empece a trabajar en _____ el 1 de agosto del 2011. Desde ese momento diría que uno de los más grandes logros que he alcanzado es establecer relaciones fuertes basadas en la confianza. Tomando el credo de corazón y enriqueciendo vidas, la mía, la de mis compañeros, con los cuales comparto la mayor parte del tiempo, y finalmente la de nuestros clientes. Desde que empece a trabajar en _____ debo decir que mis conocimientos tecnológicos han crecido a un paso agigantado. Pero más allá de los conocimientos esta la capacidad de comunicarlo a los clientes que aveces van a usar por primera ves productos de _____. Finalmente y este ha sido uno de los logros más recientes es llegar a tiempo. Siempre he tenido problemas para llegar a tiempo y lo culpaba en mayor parte por mi herencia cultural, sin embargo muchas veces simplemente era descartarlo como algo irrelevante mientras estuviera dentro de 10 minutos. Pero todo eso cambio después de compartir una experiencia con una de mis amigas en una clase de trapecio. Finalmente me di cuenta de la importancia de estar a tiempo. Después de esto he hecho un gran esfuerzo para estar a tiempo o inclusive más temprano. Estos tres también han sido las áreas donde más he crecido en este año.
La más grande desilusión que he tenido hasta ahora es el hecho de que no pude llevar a cabo los talleres en español para los consumidores. Después de constantemente hablar con los líderes para llevarlos a cabo; hacer participe y organizar a las personas que hablamos español; inclusive tomar la iniciativa de hacer una presentación donde presentaba el caso de que es parte de nuestro credo enriquecer las vidas de nuestros consumidores con nuestros productos y servicios, al final simplemente mi voz no fue escuchada. Lo que más me molesta es el hecho de que en _____ una de las metas es crear un sentido de comunidad de esta manera es una gran falla por parte de la compañía entera excluir a un segmento cada ves más grande de la población. Una compañía que dice valorar a su gente y su diversidad como el recurso más valioso ciertamente no está llevando a la realidad su mensaje.
En lo que corresponde al futuro me encuentro en un punto muy emocionante de mi vida donde nuevos retos vienen a mi encuentro donde las habilidades y conocimientos que he obtenido en _____ vendrán de gran ayuda. Planeo seguir aumentando mis conocimientos técnicos para solucionar problemas en nuestros productos. Sin lugar a dudas y la más importante de todas las cosas que debo desarrollar es mantenerme firme en mis posiciones. Asegurarme de ser consecuente con mis pensamientos, intuiciones y creencias inclusive cuando esto signifique estar errado algunas veces o ser diferente. Después de todo son "las personas que están locas de pensar que pueden cambiar el mundo los que lo logran..."
